Once again we are proud to be working in Wichita Falls for the Holiday Season!

 

The Forum of Wichita Falls and Star Buck Carriage are bringing this joyful event to you! We will be operating out of the Forum events parking lot located at 2120 Speedway Avenue and will be giving holiday lights tours via horse drawn carriages of the historic neighborhood adjacent to the Wichita Falls Country Club area. Considered to be one of the most prestigious in this fine city, this neighborhood is also close to Midwestern State University where the annual “Fantasy of Lights” celebration is held.

 

Imagine riding in a real horse drawn carriage while listening to holiday music looking at the beautiful brightly lit holiday lights throughout this beautiful neighborhood.  Clip clop, clip clop…..

Rides will begin on Friday, November 25th and continue until December 31st.

Three sizes of carriages will be available for rides this year. They include:

*4 passenger sized vis-à-vis carriage priced at $99.00 per one hour reservation,

6 passenger sized vis-à-vis carriage priced at $149.00 per one hour reservation

             and

9 person limousine vis-à-vis carriage priced at $179.00 per one hour reservation.

This year we are also offering our 9 passenger fringe top surrey and it is priced at $169.00 for a one hour reservation.

*Please note this carriage is considered a 4 person vehicle dependent upon the passengers’ physical size. The seat widths are 38 – 40 inches.

2 lap children (age 3 and under) allowed on vis-à-vis and 3 lap children (age 3 and under) allowed on the vis-à-vis limousine and surrey. Due to safety requirements, one lap child per seat is all we can accommodate.


Your driver will be impeccably dressed in Olde English attire complete with Victorian top hat.

Carriages will be outfitted with bright festive holiday lights and greenery.  Holiday music will be playing in the carriage while you tour this beautiful historic neighborhood.

Blankets will be provided in the carriages but you may choose to bring your own if you wish. You may bring food and/or beverages if you wish. Please be aware, however, that the ride may be bumpy at times. Lids are recommended for all beverages.

Walk-ups welcome but reservations are encouraged.

Tipping the driver is usual and customary for good service. Recommended tip for carriages is $20 and for limousine and surrey carriages is $30.

 

Weather:  A light mist or rain will not prevent your ride from going. We have tops on the carriages that will keep you dry and blankets to keep you warm.  If we have to cancel, the phone number you provide will notify your party on the day of the ride and a full refund will be given.

*Full refund given for cancellation made at least 72 hours in advance, otherwise 50% for cancellations made up to 24 hours before. Cancellations within 24 hours are not refunded. Please note that drivers, horses and other employees must show up even if you do not, therefore we have to cover our expenses.

Also note you should arrive approximately 15 minutes early to check in and take care of any last minute details or meet others in your party. If you are late, you are cutting into your reservation time and we run on a tight schedule.
